Building Redevelopment Fundraising Dinner Support the Museum to rise to a new level Thank you for your generous support. Tickets have sold out. Bookings are now closed. Located in Melbourne's Chinatown, the Chinese Museum was established in 1985 and is the keeper of our community’s many stories. We learn about the journeys that we all took to come to Australia, whilst it provides exciting exhibitions and programs that keep our Chinese culture alive within us. We also teach the broader community with 400,000 school students having visited the museum to learn multiculturalism, immigration history, arts and culture. Over the coming years, we are expanding our museological activities by providing travelling exhibitions and education programs across Australia and to China. This is ultimately to enhance the identity of the 1.26M people with Chinese ancestry that have made Australia their home. The Chinese Museum is now embarking on a Redevelopment Building Project that will greatly enlarge and improve our facilities. This will enable us to create more cultural and historical programs that celebrate the culture of Chinese Australians for today and tomorrow. The Chinese Museum invites you to this fundraising dinner that launches the redevelopment of the Museum building.
