Millennium Dragon Parade & Free Chinese Museum admission, 1pm-4pm, 14th March 2022.

The iconic Moomba Festival welcomes people into the city annually on the Labour Day long weekend in March, to experience the traditions and fun of Melbourne’s longest-running and largest community festival.

After a 2 year isolation, the Millennium Dragon will finally be awakened this Labour Day long weekend to take up its iconic position as the finale of the Moomba parade. 

Follow the Millennium Dragon back to its home at the Museum and gain free entry from 1pm - 4pm on the 14th of March 2022.

Call for volunteers

At 63 metres long, and with its head weighing in at 200 kilograms, the Millennium Dragon is looking for 100 legs to support its Moomba parading. Sign up to be a part of the Moomba Dragon Parade here.
