What's On Events & Public Programs Painted: The Immigrants' Self Portrait Development has begun on a new project titled ‘Painted: The Immigrants' Self Portrait’ by two Melbourne creatives, Leo, a portrait painter, and Olivia, a film producer. Painted: The Immigrants' Self Portrait is an art and documentary series featuring immigrant families that uses the process of portraiture to explore the diaspora and definition of home for immigrant families. The Chinese Museum is proud to support this project as 95% of all Australian families have been on a migration journey! We also hope to exhibit the event online or in the Museum in 2021. Callout to Chinese families Olivia and Leo wish to feature a Chinese family in the project, particularly one that is a part of our essential workforce. If you think this could be you or someone you know, they’d love to hear from you! You can send them an email or click here to express your interest.
