When Melbourne exits lockdown our laneways will be waiting for you to explore. Over the next few months, Flash Forward will transform the city’s laneways with a myriad of cutting-edge art installations, live music premieres from all across the genre spectrum, and much more.

We are thrilled that the Museum's north facing wall, down Smythe Lane, has been chosen to host seven new lightboxes, featuring the work of artist Ruofan Lei, as part of the Flash Forward program. This reactivation program from City of Melbourne showcases Melbourne's resilient creative culture through lighting, music, and creative installations in 40 of Melbourne’s historic laneways.

Be sure to visit these lightboxes and pop into the Museum, next time you are in the neighborhood!
