Thinking about Immortality & Kindness aims to examine the issue of escalating racism in the wake of COVID-19 through the works of leading creatives of Asian-Australian cultural heritage. Combining a virtual space for listening, with a poster exhibition that invites looking and thinking, it has been conceived as a community act of solidarity and kindness.

Taking Lisel Mueller's poem as the starting point, six creatives have written, spoken, and produced new works that reflect upon the themes, immortality and kindness, in the context of our present socio-cultural circumstances. A poster exhibition has been installed across 13 locations throughout the City of Melbourne, with the support of co-exhibiting partners such as the Museum of Chinese Australian History.

A website URL/QR code on the poster will take the viewer into the virtual exhibition space. Viewers are also invited to join in the making process, by sharing the news of their poster sighting via social media as part of a community act of kindness and solidarity.
