On the 21st of October, which also happened to be the last day of Melbourne’s marathon lockdown, the Chinese Museum Team and Supporters, came together virtually to celebrate the launch of Chinese Australian Achievers 2021, a key feature of the Museum’s One Million Stories exhibition

The event was a wonderful success, with over 170 attendees dialling in to celebrate the night and hear 9 of our Achievers tell their stories and answer audience questions.

Chinese Museum CEO, Mark Wang, hosted the event, guiding the audience through the lives and contributions of our Achievers.

Our partner in the event, Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (GMCT) also congratulated the Museum and the Achievers on this important body of work.

We express our gratitude to all of the 28 Achievers that have enthusiastically participated in this project. We also thank all of our attendees for their virtual attendance on the last day of Melbourne’s marathon lockdown!

The Chinese Museum will re-open to the public on Saturday 6th November, where the One Million Stories exhibition and the full Chinese Australian Achievers exhibit will be on show. We look forward to meeting you again in the Museum soon.
