Asian Comedy Showcase

Asian Comedy is a monthly showcase at Comedy Republic celebrating Melbourne comedians from Asian backgrounds. Curated by 2021 RAW Comedy competition winner and crowd favourite comedian He Huang, each show features a diverse line-up of performers offering unique, refreshing and relatable perspectives. Sharing their hilarious jokes and stories, Asian Comedy provides a space for anyone who can relate to being asked “but where are you really from?”.

Past guests include Lizzy Hoo, Noah Szto, Dahn Rozario, Heather Joan, Amna Bee, Sean Diao and many more.

The next show is on Thursday 9 June featuring Lorenzo Laraño, Annie Louey, Tej Munuganti, Garry Johal, Sam Silla and Aaqib Merchant.

You indemnify the Chinese Museum against any action, liability, claim, loss, damage, proceeding, expense (including legal costs) suffered or incurred by the Chinese Museum, arising from, or which is directly or indirectly, related to:

any breach or inaccuracy in any representations or warranties made to the Chinese Museum.
8. Suspension or termination of access

Guided Museum Tours for Adult Groups. Combine with a tour of Melbourne's Chinatown or a Yum Cha lunch.
OUR ORGANISATION

The Chinese Museum’s building, located in the heart of Chinatown, was built by the Cohen Bros. in 1890 and used originally as a furniture warehouse. It was acquired in 1984 by the Victorian State Government to enable the establishment of a Museum to provide the heritage and cultural foundation for Melbourne’s Chinatown.
VENUE HIRE

The Chinese Museum has multiple galleries / space for hire, suitable for exhibitions, parties, dinners, talks and many other functions. All proceeds from venue hires go towards furthering our mission of communicating the Chinese-Australian story and promoting multiculturalism
