One of the most famous teas in China, this green tea is mellow and sweet, originating from the Mountain of Huangshan.

Brewing guide

The weight ratio of brewing Huangshan Mao Feng tea and water should be roughly 1:80 (that is, 80ml of water for one gram of tea). The best water temperature to brew this tea is about 84℃, and no higher than 95℃, otherwise the vitamins and nitrogen-based acids in the tea will be destroyed and the tea will have a bitter taste. Brew for about 3-5 minutes. If making tea for others, gradually adjust and increase the time according to the number of cups; under normal circumstances hot water can be added to the brewing tea 3-5 times. Traditionally, the tea is consumed from a glass or white porcelain teacup.

Drinking efficacy and attributes

This Huangshan Mao Feng contains polyphenols, amino acids, protein, vitamin C, catechin, caffeine and other nutrients. It has many health benefits and contains anti-aging and slimming properties. It can also recuperate one’s intestinal tract, reduce diarrhea, inhibit cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease, radiation prevention, in addition to reducing the harm of smoking. However, due to the alkaloids and other components contained in Huangshan Mao Feng tea, it is not easy to drink it on an empty stomach, before going to bed and when taking other traditional Chinese medicine.

冲泡指南

泡制黄山毛峰茶与水的重量要大致比为1:80,一般水温不高于95℃的水温,否则会把山毛峰茶叶中的维生素、氮基酸类等营养破坏,令泡出的茶水有点苦涩味。最佳水温也以84℃左右,泡制容器一般以玻璃杯或白瓷茶杯均可;每次冲泡约3到5分钟,泡久了不但茶的口味不好了,而且还会消除茶中的营养成分,并根据冲泡次数逐步调整与递增时间;正常情况下可续水冲泡3-5次

功效与饮用属性

此黄山毛峰含有较多的茶多酚,氨基酸,蛋白质,维生素C和儿茶素,咖啡碱等营养成分,因此它有许多保健功效,包括:通常茶的有助于抗衰老外,可减肥及调理肠道,减轻腹泻、保护人的造血机能、利尿和可抑制心脑血管疾病、防辐射、除烟臭和减少抽烟带来的危害等。但是,由于黄山毛峰茶叶中含有的生物碱等成分因此不易空腹与睡前及服用其他中药时饮用。
