About the Partnership

AWDPI is a global not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering Asian women, advancing gender equality and addressing domestic violence and discrimination. Through its Australian branch, AWDPI Australia provides culturally responsive support and programs for multicultural communities across the country.

Speaking about the initiative, Cindy Jiaze Gui, Managing Director of AWDPI Australia, highlighted the importance of creating inclusive spaces where women feel welcomed, respected and supported.

“Table tennis is more than a physical activity. It can be a powerful platform for inclusion, confidence-building and meaningful community participation. Through this partnership, we hope to create more opportunities for women to connect, participate and lead, contributing to a more inclusive and gender-equal society.”

Saransk Karnawat, Customer Experience and Growth Manager at Table Tennis Australia, added:

“Growing participation among women and girls remains a key priority for Table Tennis Australia. By partnering with AWDPI, we're not only creating opportunities to play, but also building stronger pathways for women and girls to connect, belong and remain engaged in sport.”
