Chinese Museum joint with the Australian Multicultural Art and Culture Association (AMACA) is thrilled to announce a one-of-a-kind cultural extravaganza for this festive season — Epic Millennia! 

On October 14th, step into a world of ancient China as we invite you to an enchanting evening of performances that will whisk you away through the corridors of time. Immerse yourself in the captivating essence of traditional Chinese culture through a mesmerizing showcase of music, dance, and poetry. Prepare for an enchanting journey as the stage transforms into a timeless realm. Bathed in ethereal lighting, it's your gateway to China's rich cultural heritage. Talented musicians, including guzheng and guqin players, fill the air with haunting melodies, evoking tranquility like a stroll through ancient Chinese gardens. Their mastery will take you to the poetic landscapes of classical China. Dancers in traditional Chinese attire further immerse you in the elegance of ancient times. 

During interval, you can also enjoy a cocktail available at the Dragon Bar or tea and mooncakes (additional charge).

Autumn Moon Nights, at the Chinese Museum

The Autumn Moon Festival is full of fanciful stories and characters such as Chang Er who drinks the elixir of life, an archer who shoots down twelve suns and a rabbit in the moon.

To celebrate evenings under the Autumn Moon on the Chinese calendar, the Chinese Museum opens its doors during the month of October for you to experience traditional, contemporary, and reinterpreted Chinese popular culture.
