Past Exhibition & Public Program: 8th February 2021 - 11th April 2021

Join us in the celebration and appreciation of Chinese tea. It has been woven into the fabric of Chinese culture over four millennia and remains an integral part of Chinese daily life.

The exhibition itself traces the story of tea culture which goes back almost 5,000 years. It has played an important part in Chinese culture and daily life for all this time. Such was the impact of tea across the world, silk and tea has been traded with the west for 2,000 years. Its place in modern history caused such upheavals such as the Boston Tea Party in America and the Opium War in China in the 18th and 19th Century respectively.

The Tea Heaven Experience

You will start your Tea Heaven Experience with a private, small group, guided tour of the exhibition, then relax whilst you take in the ancient traditions of a tea ceremony. Finally, refresh by tasting the flavours of many Chinese tea varieties.
