Under the White Clouds

On Sunday 18 April 2021, the Museum was delighted to officially unveil an impressive and important new addition to its collection - Under the White Clouds, a bronze sculpture by artist Xu Fei

At the unveiling event, the sculpture was officially launched by Pippa Dickson, Director of Asialink Arts, and Mark Wang, CEO of the Museum. 

During the launch event both Pippa and Mark took the opportunity to emphasize how important artistic exchange and gifts of friendships between States remain in the current challenging political environment.  

The Museum is grateful to the Victorian Government and Asialink Arts for donating this important work to the Museum's permanent collection.  

Under the White Clouds is now on display, and free for the general public to view on the ground floor of the Museum.
