The traditional Peranakan wedding was an elaborate affair that brought together the entire community for never-ending food, music, and dancing as part of a lavish twelve-day ceremony of intricately detailed bridal gowns, meticulously rehearsed ceremonies, and stunning fine porcelain. We invite you to an exceptional afternoon performance of the near-lost art of the traditional Peranakan wedding in Melbourne, featuring rituals such as a tea ceremony, followed by special Nyonya cakes and photo opportunities with the bridal party.
