What's On Events and Public Programs Chinese Museum Arts Collective x Collective Polyphony Festival (Un) Home: a contemporary visual art exhibition 9 - 30 September 2023 Testing Grounds, Queen Victoria Market Entry: Free As part of the Chinese Museum's ongoing engagement with art and creative culture in Melbourne, the Chinese Museum Arts Collective will be part of the Melbourne-wide Collective Polyphony Festival in September. Chinese Museum Arts Collective will curate a contemporary visual art show featuring 15 first generation Chinese Australian artists working in a variety of media, at Testing Grounds Emporium and Square in Queen Victoria Market. ‘(Un) Home’ will explore the drama of Chinese people who have migrated from old homeplaces to discover a new one in Australia. The show will feature presentations from: Frankie Zhang, Kelvin Lau, Yu-Chen Xin, Rui-Qi Qiu, Poppy Chan, Xiao-Bo Chan, Yong-Ping Ren and Benjamin Woods, Leon Zhan, Jia-Xin Nong, Ming Liew and Thitibodee Rungteerawattananon. And exhibit 6 banner sized photographic portraits of Chinese traders in Queen Victoria Market, taken by photographic artist Karen Song.
