It was a pleasant day, albeit quieter than usual due growing community concern around the Coronavirus. Still, many people came out and visited the Museum, taking advantage of our free entry on the day, thanks to our major sponsor Central Equity.

Lion Dance Chinese New Year Melbourne Chinatown

Out in Chinatown, we raised funds for the Museum at our gift shop marquee by selling lots of fun Chinese New Year and Year of the Rat merchandise. People from all walks of life loved the easier than usual access to the wondrous Millennium Dragon and the many exciting Lion Dances that took place throughout the day.

All up it was a successful day. We are grateful to our major sponsor Central Equity for supporting the event in 2020.

Our CEO, Mark Wang, would like to extend a special thank you to all of our volunteers on the day, who worked busily to deliver a professional and enjoyable experience for our visitors and customers.
