Due to popular demand, our Dragon Puppet Workshop will now be available as an incursion as a part of our Travelling Museum Program.  

Celebrate Year of the Dragon in 2024. In this hands-on craft workshop students will learn about the importance, myths, and origins of the Chinese dragon. Students will make their own dragon stick puppet to take home.  

Recommended Year Levels: Primary School Levels 1-6 & Secondary School Levels Year 7/8 

Supports the Victorian Curriculum in the studies of: History / Chinese Language/ Intercultural Understanding/ Visual Art 

Cost $15 

Distance surcharge 

A surcharge of $100 per 10km applies to schools further than 30km from the Museum

Minimum 

100 students per activity 

Maximum 

We can cater for up to 300 students in one day for 3-session incursion. Activities are run on a rotating roster. 

Duration 

All sessions are 45 minutes long. The total program is 3 hours approx., including breaks.
