Education Programs Incursions: The Travelling Museum Chinese Knotting Subjects: Visual Arts / Intercultural Capability / History In this workshop, students will discover how Chinese knots began as communication tools and evolved into an intricate folk-art form. Students will make their own knotted bracelet or charm for good luck. Cost $15 Distance surcharge A surcharge of $100 per 10km applies to schools further than 30km from the Museum Minimum 100 students per program Maximum We can cater for up to 300 students in one day for 3-session incursion. Activities are run on a rotating roster. Duration All sessions are 45 minutes long. The total program is 3 hours approx., including breaks. Requirements: A classroom with seating for all participants at tables and chairs; and a screen/IWB on which to project a PowerPoint presentation from our instructor's laptop. For multiple sessions, we require one designated classroom for the whole program where each class/group of students come to us.
