Our Anzacs are not forgotten by the Museum of Chinese Australian History which, for many years has undertaken ongoing research to identify Chinese Australians who have served in both World Wars.

On Anzac Day 2023, the Museum acknowledges the 275 Chinese Anzacs, who appear by name on our permanent Honour Rolls of Chinese ANZACs and WWII servicewomen and men.

In addition, on this Roll, we identify those who fought at Gallipoli, and in the battles of Fromelles and Pozieres.

In the near future, we will also be recognising those Chinese ANZACs who were awarded bravery medals in WWI.

Scrolling through the Honour Rolls, you will see so many very familiar Chinese family names whose descendants are known to many of us. The Museum pays our respects to those families who have been affected by the tragedies of war.

The museum continues to collect photographs, memorabilia, stories, and information about Chinese Australian soldiers. If you have family members who are Chinese Anzacs or Chinese Australian WWII soldiers, we would like to hear from you and add their names to our growing list of soldiers. Click here to fill out the information submission form.
